Welcome to HKSYU

The Orientation Programme for New Students will be held on campus between 25 Aug and 28 Aug 2026. All newly admitted students are required to attend this programme according to the schedule.

Opening Ceremony and Introduction of Departments

Session 2: 11:15am – 1:15pm
  • Opening Ceremony
  • Introduction of department & curriculum by Head of Department and faculty members
  • Introduction of student support services
  • Important academic reminders and distribution of student cards by Registry

The programme will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above / Extreme Conditions / Black Rainstorm is in force at or after 7:00 a.m.

26-28/8 (Wed-Fri)

1:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Orientation Days

The programme will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above / Extreme Conditions / Black Rainstorm is in force at or after 11:00 a.m.

Important Notes:

  1. In case the Hong Kong Observatory announces that the Signal No. 8 or above / Extreme Conditions / Black Rainstorm is likely to be hoisted within a time range, the start time will be used.
  2. Arrangement of the Orientation Programme due to adverse weather conditions will also be announced on the Orientation Programme Website.
  3. There will be no rescheduling for the Opening Ceremony and Orientation Days that are cancelled due to adverse weather.
