Application for Student Financial Assistance

Full-time undergraduates who have financial difficulties may apply for the following financial assistance schemes:

  1. Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) (aged 30 or below);
  2. Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS);
  3. Student Travel Subsidy (STS);

    Application Procedure
    a.
    To apply for Government Financial Assistance Schemes (FASP / NLSPS / STS), freshmen should submit their online applications to the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA) through “eWFSFAA” (http://eWFSFAA.gov.hk) by 26 September 2025.
    b. For STS, applicants must indicate the wish to apply for STS when submitting the online application for FASP.
    c. To apply for the HKSYU Financial Assistance Scheme, freshmen can download the application guidelines and the application forms from the website of Office of Student Affairs (OSA) during the application period. The completed application forms with the supporting documents should be submitted through online platform from 8 to 19 September 2025.

  4. Financial Assistance Scheme of Hong Kong Shue Yan University

Application Procedures

  1. Freshmen should submit their online e-forms to the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA) through “eWFSFAA” (eWFSFAA.gov.hk) for FASP and / or NLSPS before 26 September 2025.
  2. Students who have passed the means test of FASP need not to submit separate applications for the Student Travel Subsidy.
  3. To apply the HKSYU Financial Assistance Schemes, freshmen can download the application guidelines and the application forms from the website of Office of Student Affairs (OSA) during the application period. The completed application forms with the supporting documents should be submitted through online platform from 8 – 19 September 2025.
